The full Moon in Aries happens November 10, 2011 at 8:16 PM GMT. Full moons occur at the midway point of a Sun/Moon cycle. The current cycle is in Libra, meaning the Sun and Moon most recently came together in Libra, on October 26 to be precise. We are in a Libra cycle right now, a time when we are learning how to harmonize our energy with another person’s energy.

This is one of life’s most important lessons, learning to share and play fair and get along with others. Yet, Libra is about equality and harmony, not self-sacrifice. Too often, planets and Libra try too hard to please others, then have to work hard to reclaim the lost territory by asserting their individuality (Aries).

This full moon is a time when that is happening. Now is the time when we may strongly over assert our individuality in response to feeling put upon by others in personal or social situations. Of course, this most dramatically includes romantic relationships. But it also includes business agreements and any situation where to equal’s are trying to work out an arrangement.

The Mars Issue

Mars is lording over this full moon like a trigger-happy general on meth and crack. First of all, he is the ruler of the moon and Jupiter. Meaning, our mind is full of warfare and confrontation with a full moon in Aries. Also, he is the ruler of retrograde Jupiter who is joined the moon. How about a little righteous indignation to distort and exaggerate the equation?

But also, this retrograde Jupiter is actually aspecting Mars from Leo, another fire sign. Not only is Mars asserting major influence here, he himself is very strong and in a “cut and burn” mode. Mars in Leo is in no mood to fool around and try to please others. But there’s more.

The planet of compromise and harmony (Venus) is in Scorpio, ruled by Mars. Scorpio is the sign where we feel victimized and want to vindicate our selves. Venus is also losing a planetary war to Mercury, who is only too willing to either engage aggressively, or simply disappear in a pretentious fog of “detachment”.

This could be a really difficult time for relationships having trouble, especially if there are any deep imbalances or injustices.

A Theme of Destruction and Letting Go

Actually, this transit imbues us with the courage to let go of an abusive situation or one where someone is not being honest or operating with integrity. If those things are happening in your relationship, this is actually a good time to cut ties, rather than explode or let things get to a boiling point.

TIP:
Your own personal authority and sense of self-respect must come from you. It will never come from another. If you are selling your integrity down the toilet, rather than get angry at the person who is doing it, get clear within yourself and act with courage and righteousness.

The problem is when we fail to walk the talk and live with integrity.
