The moon continues trough Capricorn today, and will occupy the Nakshatra of Dhanista, related to wealth. The symbol of this Nakshatra is the drum of creation that provides the beat for Lord Shiva’s dance. The nature of your creations will be important today. What you can manifest is based on your values and your beliefs and the conviction for which you approach your goals. All of these things are important in this Nakshatra, ruled by Mars.

The Deity ruler is Varuna, the God of the sky and celestial rains and the maker of the seasons. This is a good day for alternative healing and study.

The day is ruled by Mars and he is in Cancer now, debilitated. This may reveal a lack of discipline and courage in our thinking. We may act more emotional than with strength – the goal of Mars.

The name of this Nakshatra literally means “former auspicious foot”, which is literally where the foot of the lighning bolt touches the ground.

The day is ruled by Mercury, the bringer of communication and flexibility. He is is Scorpio now, bringing and intensity to our words. He is also aspected by Saturn, showing a determination and depth. Good for writing and research.

We are under the influence of the 9th lunar day, ruled by Sarpa. This is a day when our deepest desires can be transformed into spiritual power. But we need to be careful of what we think or else the snake may bite us.
