The Sun is like the King within. He is the center of light and power and is willing to let others shine in his presence. The Sun will be in Sagittarius from December 16 until January 13, 2010. The Sagittarius cycle has to do with expressing our ideals and clarifying them. If we take action based on what inspires us the most, great things can happen. This is the months to act through a sense of idealism and purpose keeping in mind all the good it can do, for yourself and the world.

Sagittarius

The Moon is like the Queen within. She is the center of sensitivity, creativity and connection. The current new moon cycle began December 15 with the new Moon in Sagittarius. Is a cycle where we will be challenge to connect with our higher teachings and elevated purposes. Sagittarius is a sign related to God’s grace, gurus and wisdom that flows to us from a higher source. What is your inspired purpose? What are the great teachings that help you overcome life’s ups and downs. These are the big questions that will be answered this month.

Sagittarius

Mars is like the rowdy child within. He entered Cancer October 4. This is the debilitation sign of Mars and he will be here until May of 2010. This is a long time where we may be feeling undisciplined and unfocused. But it may present opportunities for us to connect to our deeper, emotional core. But we must watch frustration and acting out in response to this frustration. It will be important for us to do our best to remain disciplined and not slide on our daily routines. Cancer
Mercury is like the curious, playful child within. Mercury will be in Sagittarius from December 1 until February 4, 2010. The transit of Mercury through Sagittarius brings our detail oriented mind into the realm of the bigger picture and the elevated purposes we are trying to reconnect with. It is time to really expand details, but we may also be overoptimistic and overplay our hand or exaggerate when we speak, etc.

Sagittarius
Jupiter is like the teacher or counselor within. Jupiter in  Capricorn gives us an opportunity to build greater wealth, materiality and structure in life. But we may lack the hope that also helps us overcome difficulty in fear. There are especially a lot of material fears, worries and concerns right now. A lot of this comes from Jupiter in Capricorn. It’s harder to stick with our spiritual practices and stay inspired Capriororn
Venus is the desire for happiness within (for yourself, others or all of creation). Venus will be in Scorpio from November 27 until December 20. When Venus is in Scorpio ourbpassionate nature becomes very intense and dramatic. We become a bit destabilized by our passionate intensity. We must be careful not to let these extremes carry us away on a wave of passion that undermines our  better judgment. Yet, this is a very creative time and a very romantic one.
Scorpio
Saturn is like the mature old person within. Saturn will be in Virgo for 2.5 years (approximately) starting September 9, 2009. The shift of Saturn from Leo to Virgo can be seen as the transition of power (Leo) to implementation (Virgo). Meaning, Saturn in Virgo saw a shifting of power both internally and externally – and not necessarily in a good way. The false forms of power have been exposed and we must make a commitment to the true source of power, or feel the pain of that. Virgo is where we must assemble the new paradigm from the shards of the old. The future is now and we are creating. THis requires focusing our attention on all of the details, each day, each person, each meal, each dollar.. they all matter and have broad ranging implications. We can be overwhelmed by this or be flexible and present anddo our best, knowing that God’s grace is always guiding us (integrating the opposite energy of Pisces).
Virgo

Rahu is like the immature and obsessive nature within. Rahu is currently in Sagittarius, creating philosophical obsessions and worries on some level. Wherever Sagittarius falls in our birth chart there will be a certain amount of philosophical concern. Wherever Rahu transits we are trying to develop to a new level in that area of life. Yet, the only way we develop to that level is to face our irrational discomfort with it first. Wherever Rahu is transiting we need to apply patience – as if we’re dealing with a child. In many ways Rahu is the child within us that it is scared of the dark. Sagittarius has to do with our deeper philosophies and goals in life. This includes religion and religious teachers.

Sagittarius

Ketu is like the experienced, but dissatisfied nature within. Ketu is currently in cancer, creating dissatisfaction and aversion with our information and skills. Wherever Gemini falls in our birth chart we may have confusion about how to integrate our skills and information. In many ways, the transit of Ketu through Gemini will have us concentrating on our skills, communication and information gathering so as to bring it to perfection (as if that’s possible). Actually, it is not possible to be perfect in this world, thus the dissatisfaction of Ketu leads to a higher and higher expression of its internal nature, but brings an external dissatisfaction.

Gemini
Uranus is like the eccentric genius within. Uranus is in Aquarius, the sign he rules. He has been in the sign since February of 2002 and will remain there until April 2009 – when he enters the sign of Pisces. Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn, through the fixed air modality. Saturn makes us aware of the weaknesses, limitations and fragility in life – per query is we become aware of the limitations of our social structures, ideas, and personal power in general. This creates a reform of external systems and social structures as a way to also reform themselves. Yet the underlying feeling may be one of fear, anxiety and stress. The external crusading of Aquarius is often an escape from painful internal limitations. Since early 2002 the world has seen a declared “War on Terror” is a major ideological shift. With the recent elections in the United States – a Democratic president and Democratic Congress – we see a radical shift from the genius of “Saturnian, Fixed ideas” (Uranus in Aquarius) to a new genius shift to the Uranus and Pisces paradigm that will begin in April 2009. Pisces is the sign of mysticism, creativity, spirituality, etc.
Aquarius
Neptune is like the dreamy mystic within. Neptune is currently in the sign of Capricorn, having poked her head in the sign of Aquarius a year or so ago. Where Neptune influences there’ll be a dissolving of boundaries, a sort of liquidity towards something much more transpersonal and much more transcendent than just the physical world of objects, bodies and ideas. A greater dissolving and merging with the cosmic and mystical is shown by Neptune. Her transit through Capricorn, which began in early 1996, has shown a dissolving of material assumptions and financial structures culturally and personally, when Neptune entered Capricorn. Now, at the end of 2008 we see an ever presents blending of global markets, financial structures, real estate, insurance – all of these themes are Capricornian in nature. The entrance of Neptune in Capricorn coincides with the explosion of the Internet and the dissolving of geographic boundaries as it relates to information, commerce, and just about everything else in o is definitely opened us up to the many possibilities, but also produced many illusions in the process.
Capricorn
Pluto is like the dark explosiveness within. Pluto is currently in Sagittarius, which he entered at the very end of 2005. The shadowy nature of Pluto is related to long-term trends in our life and culture that show destruction and transformation at some deep level. Of course, like everything in the universe, this destruction is simply a catalyst for a different level of growth – much like weeding a garden is destruction that leads to the growth of food to or flowers. The sign of Sagittarius is related to spiritual values, principles, lasw and philosophies that govern our life and give us hope. Since the end of 2005 in early 2006 we have felt our personal philosophies and long-term values challenged and tested. Perhaps we have been tempted into the dark side on some level and are still being tempted. It is easy to see this temptation in the world as the stakes seem to be getting raised higher and higher politically between excessive conservatism and liberalism. The emergence of World leaders like Ahmedinajad in Iran (as perhaps a response to George Bush in the US) on one hand and Barack Obama on the other shows these choices. Issues like stem cell research becoming more political (2006 congressional elections) Same-sex marriages are all indicative of Pluto recently entering Sagittarius, the sign of man-made and God-Made laws and how they intersect as an expression of righteousness (Dharma). There is enormous spiritual power in this time. Do not succumb to fear of darkness. We have created darkness — God only creates light.

    Sam,

I noticed from the above mentioned transits, that Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter are all crossing Natal positions in my chart. Plus the nodes are crossing my Natal position in reverse. For instance Rahu is currently crossing my Ketu in Capricorn. What does this mean? Should I be concerned? Thanks. William

  2. admin says:

A lot of stuff there william.

There would be a lot happening in that case.

    "Should I be concerned?"

    nothing is bad in astrology.

    "concerned",.. about what?

    yes, be concerned.

    :)

Ammachi says that we should live as if at gunpoint or like a bird on a dried twig that might break – always ready to take flight.

    Are you growing toward truth?

    are you living fully?

    be concerned.
