Saturday, October 24, 2009 – Sagittarius|Purva Ashada| 7th tithi
The moon is in Sagittarius again today, continuing through the Nakshatra of Purva Ashada. Ruled by Venus, there can be a revolutionary nature to the mind today. Actually, the Nakshatra shifts around two o’clock in the afternoon Pacific Time. Much of Friday the moon was still in mula.

Saturday is ruled by Saturn and he is joined Venus in Virgo. Saturn will be in a squared relationship to the moon as well today showing some psychological stress. Monday, October 26, 2009 – Capricorn|Sravana| 9th tithi
The moon will continue through Capricorn today, in the Nakshatra of Sravana, which is ruled by the moon. We can expect a pretty sensitive day as Monday is also ruled by the moon. Sravana literally means “hearing” and shows a sensitivity and receptivity to sound. This is a good day to connect with mantras and sacred sounds. Also, music can be very important and healing for you today. The moon will also be relatively close to Jupiter, bringing some hope and optimism.

Monday is ruled by the moon so we should be pretty tuned into our emotional vibrations. There will be a lot of sensitivity and a desire to be connected to others.

We can find wealth in money or in human relationships or eventually in spiritual liberation. Seeing how all three of these come together is a big lesson in Dhanista. There’s no need to sacrifice our material happiness for our spiritual well-being. Creating a world, and much abundance, based on the things we love the most is an important lesson. Our values must reflect our money or there will be suffering.
Mars is the ruler of Tuesday and also the ruler of this Nakshatra. Mars is debilitated, bringing the potential for a lack of discipline and frustration as a result.

The moon continues through Aquarius today, in the Nakshatra of Shatsabhishak. This Nakshatra is ruled by Rahu and the name literally means 1000 doctors. There is great healing power in this Nakshatra and it is related to mysticism and celestial energy. You may feel a strong pull to connect to higher forces today. It is also a good Nakshatra for public relations of all sorts.

Wednesday is ruled by Mercury and he is in Libra now exchanging with Venus. There’s a lot of creativity today, even though we have many debilitated planets.

We’re under the influence of the 11th lunar day which has a strong connection to fasting ends spiritual practices. Now’s a good time to be introspective.

Thursday, October 29, 2009 – Aquarius | Purva Bhadra|12th tithi
The moon continues through Aquarius today and will be in the Nakshatra of Purva Bhadra, ruled by Jupiter. This is a very revolutionary and eccentric section of the sky. It shows where we become interested in humanitarian causes and may be a bit of a revolutionary. We have to be careful not to overreach and be fanatic in our pursuits today. But there is great potential for inspiration and purpose today. The Nakshatra ruler, Jupiter is debilitated however. We are probably aiming lower than our ideals at this time.

Thursday is ruled by Jupiter and as was said, he is debilitated now. This often just brings a energy drain and the lack of vision and purpose. We have forgotten our teachings and our teachers and must work harder to remember those things and to feel that inspiration and hope.

Friday, October 30, 2009 – Pisces
The moon enters Pisces where it will be for the next couple of days. Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac and related to endings and letting go of things. We are also getting very close to full moon which will occur in Aries. For the next couple of days there will be a mindset of creativity and mysticism, related to Jupiter. With three debilitated masculine planets however, there might not be a lot of hope and vision.

The Nakshatra today is Uttara Bhadra which is ruled by Saturn and one of the mysterious celestial serpents. This is a very mystical Nakshatra, related to exploring life’s deeper mysteries and awakening kundalini. This is a Nakshatra where we truly commit to serving humanity through hard work and dedicated effort.

Venus is the ruler of Friday and she is debilitated, but in exchange with mercury. This brings together these two energies and can show a lot of creativity — especially if it’s something practical like your business or something of long-term value.

We’re under the influence of the 13th lunar day today which has to do with Kama, the God of desire. Given that Friday is also ruled by Venus this could be quite a desire filled day.
