Full Moon in Pisces

Filed in Featured Articles, News by on September 21, 2010 • views: 827

The full moon in Pisces happens at about 2:15 Pacific on Thursday, September 23, 2010. That’s Thursday morning. The full moon will be very close to Jupiter (and Uranus) in the sky. This happens in the Nakshatra of Uttara Bhadrapad, (literally “later auspicious foot) – which refers to a culmination of selfless energy and inner potential.

Umm, it is a real no brainer.

,… continued from above

This full moon in Pisces is going to be in opposition to the Sun in Virgo.  The sun in Virgo is about focusing on the details, being flexible with all of the many tasks that need to be accomplished. We may feel a bit overwhelmed by all the work that has to be done, especially with the sun now joined Saturn in Virgo.

The fact that the sun has joined Saturn so closely, shows that there is a feeling of working too hard and of our vitality being drained through this hard work and effort.  The sun-Saturn conjunction brings together a lot of responsibility and duty, but not necessarily duties that feel good over time.  We may feel overworked and stressed out.

The full moon in Pisces shows where psychologically and mentally and emotionally, we need to relax, unplug, and connect with something less rational and practical, and something that’s more creative and metaphysical.

This is happening within the backdrop of having Mars and Venus in Libra, which is bringing a lot of relationship energy into the forefront. Venus has us wanting to interact in a romantic sense through our ideas and to try and bridge the distances between people, and Mars is trying to still assert our individuality, so we can be feeling a lot of pressure around these things, as well.

But in general, this full moon in Pisces joined Jupiter, who is also very close to the Earth right now, is quite auspicious.  In fact, Jupiter is closer to the Earth now than he’s been in 1963, and closer than he’ll be for many years to come.

So that in itself, with the full moon joined a very powerful Jupiter in Pisces is quite auspicious.  So this is a good night and a good couple of weeks for meditation, spiritual practices, and connecting to deeper spiritual teachings.

best wishes,
