November 2011 has some epic qualities for the following reasons.

Reason #1 – Mars, the planet of “walking the talk” will enter Leo (the sign of being
in full power , where he will remain for an unprecedented eight months.

Reason #2 – Saturn, the planet of “determination and achievement” will enter
Libra (the sign of social contract), where he will be for the next 2 1/2 years.
Both of these are excellent placements for these planets …

The weekly focus for the month of November follows.

November 1-7 is dominated by Mars’ transit into Leo on November 1. Mars
brings integrity and power to our actions; in other words, it supports us walking
the talk. For the past six weeks, Mars has been debilitated in Cancer. This
holding pattern is akin to replacing a warrior’s sword and shield with a spit-up bib
and comfy pajamas. When this happens, we become cranky and irritable. Does
this sound familiar?

Throughout this week, expect to feel a resurgence of discipline and veracity and
a reawakening of a powerful self that does not need to “prove your point” in order
to feel strong.

The transit of Mars into Leo also benefits from Jupiter’s aspect from Aries,
bringing morality and wisdom to our actions. We see the influence of Jupiter in
Aries with the “Arab Spring”, and the “#Occupy” protests in the United States.

Mercury and Venus are in Scorpio, bringing strong levels of intensity and
devotion to our interpersonal connections. Allow your fears to be transformed into
creativity, beauty and devotion.

Key Dates:
November 3 could show some emotional intensity with Moon/Mars opposition.
November 7-10 look up in the sky as the moon approaches a big and bright
Jupiter.

 

November 8-14 is dominated by the full Moon in Aries on November 9. This
full moon will be joined by the mighty Jupiter.The Aries full moon provides a

balancing point to the new Moon in Libra cycle – which happened on October
25 – beginning a month emphasizing beauty, accommodation and the “social
contract”, with all that this implies.

This full Moon in Aries shows we must honor our own needs. No one is served
when we compromise too much with or for others, then fight to reclaim our lost
integrity later, an extreme of the Libra/Aries axis.

This full moon, joined by a powerful and retrograde Jupiter, shows grace in this
process. We may see increased social unrest on November 8-10 as Moon/
Jupiter in Aries seeks to balance the scales of Justice.

Key Dates
November 9-12 are important for striking a balance in our social and interpersonal
relationships
November 13-17 is a great time to initiate a new enterprise, business or new
spiritual practice, as Jupiter will aspect Mars in Leo exactly.

November 15-22 Saturn moves into Libra for the majority of the nextn 2 1/2
years. This long-term effect shows a shift away from micromanaging details and
organization (Saturn in Virgo) to connecting these details with human culture and
politics (Saturn in Libra).

More immediately, the Sun enters Scorpio on November 16, where it will remain
for the next thirty days. This is a time to explore and transform emotional pain,
fear and willfulness. You should feel a shift this week toward deep emotions and
perhaps emotional upheaval. Be careful NOT to fall into “victim mentality” this
month. Be a warrior of light.

Enormous creativity is possible with the Sun, Mercury and Venus all in Scorpio.
Rahu here shows confusion and uncertainty surrounding the things you have
committed to emotionally and are afraid of losing.

Key Dates
November 18 and 19 feature is a high potential for emotional battles when the
Moon and Mars join in Leo. November 22-23 Moon/Saturn conjunction could
bring depression.

November 23-30
This week is dominated by the new moon/Solar eclipse in Scorpio on November
24th (Pacific time). This partial Solar eclipse is joined by retrograde Mercury; the
next 30 days promise a deep, emotional, inner dialogue. Writing, journaling and
all communications are important.

Mars, the ruler of Scorpio and this eclipse, is aspecting from Leo. This gives the
discipline and enthusiasm to bring our inner strength into the outer world, through
service and courage.

A devotional quality is also seen as the eclipse occurs in Anuradha Nakshatra,
ruled by Mitra, the God of friendship.

November 24 – Solar eclipse is a great time for meditation.
November 26 and 27 these are great days for scriptural study and/or higher
teachings.
